Praha - Hostivař, Czech Republic
This exceptionally commercially successful 9-hole golf course, set in the centre of Prague’s urban environment, has been created in course of the redevelopment of a brownfield site.
We have moved 300. 000m3 of soil and planted thousands trees and bushes to transform the original landfill into commercially successful urban leisure and recreation premises. The brief of the project was to make sure the golf course will be accessible and playable for all types of players, especially women, children and seniors.
An excellent implementation team that built the course and perfect cooperation with experts and investors helped architects to design a 9-hole golf course that actually offers 12 holes as the first three holes of the Hostivař Golf Course can be played with alternative greens.
The golf course design also comprised quite exceptional pools that became home to endangered amphibians once the course has been transformed from its original landfill function.
Currently we are in the process of extending the course to full 18 holes!
